Rank tracking in SERP Lens monitors where your site (and your competitors) rank in Google search results for specific keywords. You choose the keywords, locations, devices, and how often to check — and SERP Lens tracks the positions automatically.

How it works

  1. Add keywords to a project with a target location, device, and refresh interval
  2. SERP Lens checks rankings at the frequency you set (daily, weekly, or monthly)
  3. Positions are recorded over time so you can see trends, spot drops, and measure progress
Ranking data is collected separately from VPN browsing, giving consistent and accurate location-specific results.

Key features

  • 200+ countries — track rankings in virtually any market worldwide
  • Desktop and mobile — track one or both device types per keyword
  • Flexible intervals — daily, weekly, or monthly refresh rates
  • Competitor tracking — see where competitors rank for the same keywords
  • 29+ SERP features — detect People Also Ask, AI Overview, Knowledge Panel, and more
  • Tags — organize keywords by topic, campaign, or priority
  • Bulk operations — add, edit, or delete keywords in bulk
  • CSV export — export ranking data for reporting or external analysis

Credits

Each tracked keyword uses ranking credits based on:
  • Refresh interval — more frequent = more credits
  • Device — tracking both desktop and mobile costs 2x
  • Locations — each additional location multiplies the cost
Before adding keywords, check your available credits in the project view.

Ranking data accuracy

Rank tracking collects ranking data independently from VPN-based browsing. This means:
  • Rankings are checked from the exact target location
  • Results are consistent across checks
  • No interference from Google’s VPN detection or geo-inference
For location-based browsing (seeing actual SERPs, checking localized content), use the VPN. For accurate position tracking over time, use rank tracking. The two features complement each other.
