What it shows
Internal links
Links pointing to pages on the same domain:- Total count of internal links
- Destination URLs
- Anchor text used
- Link attributes (
rel,target)
External links
Links pointing to other domains:- Total count of external links
- Destination domains and URLs
- Anchor text
- Follow/nofollow status — whether each link passes link equity
Link attributes
For each link, the panel shows:| Attribute | What it means |
|---|---|
rel="nofollow" | Link does not pass PageRank |
rel="sponsored" | Link is a paid or sponsored placement |
rel="ugc" | Link is user-generated content |
target="_blank" | Link opens in a new tab |
Common things to check
- Missing internal links — key pages should be linked from relevant content
- Nofollow on internal links — usually unintentional and wastes crawl budget
- Excessive external links — a large number of outbound links may dilute page authority
- Empty anchor text — links with no visible text (often image links missing alt text)
