VPN traffic
Understand how SERP Lens measures VPN traffic and what happens when a finite allowance is used.
VPN usage is measured by the amount of network traffic routed through the connection. It is separate from ranking credits and AI credits.
Check usage
Open Settings → Billing for the active team. The VPN row shows the current entitlement when the team has one:
- Finite allowance — the used and remaining traffic for the current period.
- Unlimited — no traffic cap applies to the current entitlement.
- No access — the location selector shows the plan action required for VPN use.
The app also shows a renewal date when a finite allowance resets.
When an allowance is exhausted
SERP Lens stops routing traffic through the VPN. Normal browsing and other product features remain available. Wait for the renewal date shown in billing or use the plan action presented by the app.
Reduce traffic
Disconnect or pause the VPN when the regional route is no longer needed. Pages, media, downloads, and background requests can all contribute to traffic while the connection is active.
