The VPN panel in SERP Lens lets you connect to locations worldwide with a few clicks. Once connected, all browsing traffic routes through the selected location.

Connecting

1

Open the VPN panel

Click the VPN icon in the browser or press Cmd+Shift+L to open the location panel.
2

Choose a location

Browse or search the location list. Each entry shows the country name and flag. Premium locations are marked with a badge.
3

Connect

Click a location to connect. The status changes from DisconnectedConnectingConnected. Once connected, the active location appears at the top of the panel with a disconnect button.

Switching locations

You don’t need to disconnect first. Select a different location while connected and SERP Lens switches seamlessly — your session stays active and the new location takes effect immediately.

Starred locations

Pin your most-used locations for quick access:
  • Click the star icon next to any location to add it to your favorites
  • Starred locations appear at the top of the location list
  • You can save up to 10 starred locations
  • Stars are stored locally on your machine
If you regularly test the same set of markets (e.g. US, UK, Germany), star them so they’re always one click away.

Connection states

StateMeaning

ConnectedVPN is active — all traffic routes through the selected location
DisconnectingTearing down the VPN connection
ErrorConnection failed — check your internet connection or try a different location

Team-based credentials

VPN credentials are tied to your active team. When you switch teams, SERP Lens verifies your VPN credentials for the new team automatically. If the new team doesn’t have the VPN add-on, the connection disconnects.

Troubleshooting

Check your internet connection first. If your connection is stable, try selecting a different location. Some locations may have temporary availability issues.
VPN credentials are per-team. If the new team doesn’t have the VPN add-on, the connection ends. Add the VPN add-on for that team to restore access.
